About Us

Ah Chew Yong Tau Foo was started by Mr Tan Lang Chew during a particularly difficult time. Originally the boss of a beef noodle business, Mr Tan had to switch trades when the Mad Cow Disease crisis hit in 1992, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. He made use of his expertise in brewing beef soup to create a unique, aromatic soup that made his yong tau foo stand out. When Mr Tan’s son, Jeffrey, took over the baton from his father, he refined the stall and product concepts further and expanded the business to four outlets in major food courts around Singapore.

Today, no matter which food court it is at, Ah Chew Yong Tau Foo remains one of the most popular stalls there. Customers have come back again and again for our superior taste, consistently quality and pocket-friendly prices.
